Smallsticks in schools is a Hockey New Zealand Program aimed at bringing basic hockey skills and hockey resources into primary schools to enable every child to give hockey a go.There are 4 x 30 minute sessions per class, targeting specific year groups within your school - or the whole school.

Included is teacher training so that teachers can continue the Smallsticks program. Trained Smallsticks coaches will leave teachers with hockey gear (if the school chooses to purchase), a folder full of resources, and the confidence to carry on the program.

Sessions are based around fundamental movement skills and basic hockey skills, allowing for easy integration into your PE sessions.

For further information or to book your sessions contact Regan at rdo@hockeywairarapa.org.nz or give us a call.
